Hi! My name is Jenny and I want to thank you for taking the time to check out my blog. I thought I would try to find a more ‘professional” picture of myself to post, but honestly, that picture sums me up fairly well. I like to be out enjoying life, in the most comfortable clothes possible. And if you’ll let me bring my dog (Sapphire, or Saphi for short), you’ll make my day. When I was a kid, we spent more time visiting family during our time off than taking vacations, but my memories of the vacations we did take are crystal clear. On one vacation we went to Galveston Island in Texas. It was a road trip and when we saw the ocean for the first time, my Dad parked the car and we took off running through a field to get to the ocean. I remember the warm sunshine and the wildflowers in the field. I remember my Mom yelling that she saw a snake as we continued to run through the tall grass without a care in the world. It was glorious! I hope my kids will feel the same way when they think back on seeing the ocean. I once thought that I could never find a hobby that I liked well enough to stick with, but then my Bestie made an observation. She said that researching vacations WAS the hobby that stuck with me. It’s true. I”m always reading and researching travel, even when I don’t have a trip planned. It’s my passion and it’s always surprising to me to discover that most people don’t enjoy the research portion of planning a trip. It seemed natural to start a blog so that my passion can make your life a little easier. I live in Northern Illinois with my husband and 3 boys. I love finding adventure wherever I go and I hope I can inspire you to do the same.
